Should the modern day London carnival be cancelled?
This is a question that has bugged me for many years now, do we need carnival anymore?
I'm a 1970's to 1980's kid and my mother used to take me and my brothers and sisters to carnival, it was wonderful, can you imagine hardly any Police there, everybody was happy, everyone was safe, and the best thing it lasted all night into the morning today it locks off at 5pm I think?
It was fantastic! almost as if you was in another country.
Today's modern carnival is a completely different beast, there seems to be no difference between the children's day and adult day, as the big men/boys go looking gal both days, the violence is shocking, the police herding you like sheep, as mentioned above the super early lock off time.
I sure I am not alone...
